Approach to Patient Care

Dr. Batres believes that a successful approach to cardiac care involves teamwork between doctor and patient. He works closely with each patient to assess their needs and develop their cardiac profile. When appropriate, he encourages family participation in developing a treatment plan.

His patient-centered approach is reflected in the time he takes to educate patients and family members about their health, listen to their concerns and answer questions. In this way, doctor and patient, along with family members, become a team with a common goal to fight heart disease and improve health.

He is a strong believer in the role of diet and exercise in maintaining heart health and preventing heart disease. If additional intervention is necessary, he prefers to explore the use of non-invasive therapies whenever possible.

Family/Interests

Dr Batres is married with three children. During his off time he enjoys spending time with his family, being involved in church activities within the Latter-Day Saint community, and playing sports.
